Mark Tips generates "Error creating device context&quo

After we started using mark tips to generate the tool tips, we get this error from our customer from time to time.

When moving mouse to a point of a series, instead of getting the tool tips, we get "Error creating device context" error. However, we can’t reproduce it consistently. Just from time to time some developer will get it.

It seems to me that this happened more frequent when the TeeChart in a popup browser window.

We are using teechart5 and teechart6 for previous and current version in our product. Both versions are having this problem.

I searched the news group and found a similar report but ended with “can’t reproduce”. Does anyone in Steema looking into this problem? Can I expect a fix soon?

Hi,

yes, this is a known problem, and also it's added on out defect list to be reviewed and fixied for the next releases.
It seems that the problem happens using a popup and it could be solved by using a Shell command to open the window rather than window.open (if is that the case)
