TeeChart Pro v6 with ASP.net WEB

Post by JF » Tue Jul 01, 2008 12:44 pm

1st time on forum, so will do my best.

I have created a basic ASP.net website using visual studio V2005 and have put a graph on a form.

When I view the page on my pc it works fine, but when I use another PC on the network to view the site I can only see a square box with a little red x on the top right of box.

If I install the Teechart software on the PC it works, so I guess my question is how do I deploy program so it will download a registered activeX onto users PC?

I am very new to asp and would appreciate any help or advice.

Thanks in advance

Hi JF,

Welcome to Steema Software's support forums!

In that case I strongly recommend you to read Tutorial 18 - TeeChart runtime installation requirements. Tutorials can be found at TeeChart's program group.

If this doesn't help don't hesitate to let us know.

Thanks, I put the object code into my aspx page but it still don't give the option to install activex......If I add the teechart6cab.htm page and run that it does ask to install.

Am I missing something?

Hello,

using the same part of code related to the <OBJECT> as in the teechart6cab.htm should do the same. Have you tried it ?
Also, make sure the permissions are correct in the ie (allowing to download ( asking or not) activeX components).
