BoxPlot - values for ExtrOut and Mildout

Post by Richard Seaby » Mon Mar 26, 2007 3:26 pm

Hi All

I have to explain what the two types out outliers are in a boxplot (mild and extr) - I cannot find it in the help - Are they, say 3*SD and 5*SD or something?

I just need to explain how they are worked out for now.

Can I set them anywhere?

Richard

Hi Richard,

Here it is explained how TeeChart's box plot is calculated. This is a TeeChart for .NET thread but the same applies in the VCL version.

About setting those values, you can do it manually as shown in the All Features\Welcome!\Chart Styles\Statistical\Box-Plot\Custom values example in the new features demo. You'll find the demo at TeeChart's program group.
