Best Way to Update BDS 2006?

I recently upgraded TeeChart to the full source version? What'is the best way to, first, uninstall the default TeeChart that comes with BDS? Second, install TeeChart so that I don't get a bunch of package errors?

Hi,

the best way is to use the TeeRecompile tool (included into the TeeChart Pro Source code installer ) to install Rebuild and install all the packages in the IDE.
First of all run the TeeChartProXSourceCode.exe installer and then run the TeeRecompile tool to install the packages. It must deleted (backup) the standard packages (shipped with Delphi) and install the Pro.

Unfortunately, that didn't work. I now get a series of errors that say:

"Cannot load package 'xxxx.' It contains unit 'TeeAbout,' which is also contained in package 'tee100'

I can't seem to find where Delphi has loaded tee100 but it's loaded somewhere.

Any ideas?

I too would like to know the best way to update BDS 2006 with the latest version of TeeCart Pro.

Hi,

It seems that the standard TeeChart packages or old packages has not been removed at all.
First of all, if you want to have the help files, tutorials, and the demo examples go to the :
D:\Program Files\Steema Software\TeeChart 7.08 for Delphi 2006
path and do a copy of the Docs and Examples folders, then uninstall al the TeeChart Pro version you have installed on the system, make sure all the TeeChart files has been removed. Then open Delphi2006 and go to the Component -> Install packages and make sure the Std Teechart components has been removed from the list, if still there, remove all the references. Once all of this has been done reinstall the TeeChart Pro Source code version and use the TeeRecompile Tool to rebuild and install the components, you shouldn't have any problems. If not, please let me know.
