Still having problems compiling (linking) BCB.

Post by isogon » Tue Apr 11, 2006 10:41 pm

Dear Nevis,

I got so frustrated trying to compile my C++ applicaiton in Borland Dev. Studio-2006, I deleted all Borland software and all teechart software, and reinstalled everything as cleanly as I could. In the end, I have the same errors:

First chance exception at $7C81EB33. Exception class EReadError with message 'Property Zoom does not exist'. Process BkgII.exe (536)

First chance exception at $7C81EB33. Exception class EReadError with message 'Error reading Chart1->Zoom.Allow: Property Zoom does not exist'. Process BkgII.exe (536)

Last week, you suggested:

-----
This error indicates that somehow your project is still referecing to any old TeeChart files.

If you're using the "Build with the runtime packages" option, make sure
your project references only TeeChart v7 packages (they will have Tee7C6 in their name). If you project is referencing old Teechart packages (Tee or Tee70 ), replace them with new TeeChart v7 package names.
-----

Can you help me a bit more here? I can't find where my applicaiton references TeeChart Packages. How can I see and modify the packages being referenced? I don't know enough the TeeChart Borland connention to know where to look here.

I am sorry to keep bugging, but I am getting just about ready to revert back to the older BCB software, but I really don't want to do this.

Any help greatly appreciatred.

Sincerely,
Mike (isogon)

Dear Nevis,

I got it, finally. I was editing the list of run-time packages, but somehow the changes were not getting saved. I still had the Tee files in there. ow it seems to be working. Sorry for the trouble.
