XE5 help file install with tchart source

Hello,

I was wondering how do I install the tchart help files under win7 XE5 with a source code install ?

In the client area there is TChartVCL2010Help.zip but this does not seem to be correct.

Is the help file only installed when using the binary version ?

Yes, the documentation and the examples are only shipped with the binary version. That's why we use to recommend SourceCode customers to install the binary version prior to the SourceCode version.
Note that login in the client area with a SourceCode license gives access to both the SourceCode and the Binary installers.

Thanks Yeray, its been a while since I needed to look at the help file.

I take it if you install the source after, no uninstall of the binary is required, you just compile it will just update the bpl's etc.

That way I can test any Beta code by compiling it and then change back to the release by compiling that again, correct ?

Right. The recommended way is to install the binary version first to have the docs and examples. Then, running TeeRecompile (with or without modifications in the Teechart sources) overwrites the packages installed in the IDE.
Also note the binary version includes the utility TeeInstall.exe. This utility checks if TeeChart packages are installed in the IDE. Then, if found it asks you if you want to uninstall the packages from the IDE. And if it doesn't find TeeChart packages installed in the IDE, it asks you if you want to install the compiled packages found at the same folder.
Finally note TeeRecompile also generates a TeeInstall.exe utility at with the compiled packages.
