Hello presence,

Seems that you need reinstall dclado150.bpl. You should find it at "C:\Program Files\Embarcadero\RAD Studio\8.0\bin", If you don't have this package and if I'm not wrong, ADO components are included in all versions so you should have this files in Rad Studio XE installation files or in the installation CD/DVD, so you can find it installation files or in the installation CD/DVD.

I hope will helps.

Thanks,

Excuse me, but the dclado150.bpl does not exist in my distribution of XE starter. So I can not enjoy your program, only if you send it to me...

Hi presence,

I'm afraid TeeChart can not be installed in Delphi Starter editions because it lacks some necessary database packages, e.g.: dclado150.bpl. For using TeeChart Standard with Delphi XE you should upgrade your Delphi version, which would already include TeeChart v2010 Std according to the feature matrix here. Delphi XE2 includes TeeChat 2011 Standard.

If you think you need a refund for your TeeChart 2011 VCL Std license please contact our Sales Dept. at sales at steema dot com referencing this post.

Thanks in advance.

Hi presence,

As an update, for the next maintenance release we will try to make Standard version packages non-dependent of database components so you should be able to install them in your Delphi version.

Didn't see this situation change in the November 2011 release (even though the Std TChart component is supposed to be non-database dependent) . So still can't use TeeChart Standard in Starter Versions of XE. TChart still requires dclado150.bpl to be present! :?

Hello,

Sorry for the delayed reply. We are investigating what can be causing this. Could you please let us know the exact TeeChart package name that has been installed on your Delphi at Project -> Options -> Packages?

Thanks in advance.

Hello again,

It would be helpful if someone with this problem could give us some extra information:

- In the packages list, do you have DCLTeePro* or DCLTeeProStd* listed?

- What's the value of the "Edition" key in the following route in your machine's registry?
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Embarcadero\BDS\9.0

Thanks in advance.

FYI .. Just to recap original post from "presence" in June 2011, this issue is with XE Starter Edition that does not come with dcl database components. They don't come with XE2 Starter either, so TeeChart is incompatible with both Starter editions in its present configuration.

TeeChart Package loaded: dcltee915.bpl located at: "TeeChart Standard 2011 for RAD 2011\RAD15\Bin" - this is standard edition TeeChart. Do now get message box on TeeChart install that says " TeeChart files to AUTO install cannot be found", though it says it is successful past this point; on my last attempt I had to manually install the package (???).

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Embarcadero\BDS\9.0 .. is for XE2 not XE

The key in my machine is...
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Embarcadero\BDS\8.0 .. edition = "Starter"

Hello,
Graeme K wrote:Do now get message box on TeeChart install that says " TeeChart files to AUTO install cannot be found", though it says it is successful past this point; on my last attempt I had to manually install the package (???).
This message indicates that TeeInstall.exe, the utility the installer actually calls to install the package into the IDE, can't find the packages. Could you please try moving TeeInstall.exe into you Deplhi* folder if it's outside? And run it.

Thanks Yeray, I have given up on trying to make the automatic installer work (must be something written up in registry or somewhere preventing it - I did have XE2 full-demo installed for a while, that has left lots of residual entries in the registry after uninstall). However, the successful manual work-around in XE was to remove the TeeChart Component (Component/Install Packages/Remove - remove the TeeChart package present). Re-install the package (Component/Install Packages/Add - DclTeeStd915.bpl NOT DclTee915.bpl (as was installed automatically the first time as this does need dclado150.bpl) from "Program Files/Steema Software/TeeChart Standard 2011 for RAD 2011/RAD15/Bin". At this stage applications would not compile although the TeeChart components were fully accessible in the designer, as couldn't find dcu files. So added "Program Files/Steema Software/TeeChart Standard 2011 for RAD 2011/Delphi15/Lib" to the Environment Variables Library Path & DCU Debug Path (Tools/Options - Delphi Options/Library), at same time removing any TeeChart paths already present that didn't exist (? think you must of changed the Steema Software install directory name at some stage for XE version between releases from "TeeChart Standard 2011 for Delphi 2011" to RAD 2011). All good now - thanks!
