Wrong Korean exporting wmf file

Post by Seth » Wed Oct 05, 2011 6:30 am

Hello

I have a problem exporting picture in TeeChart7.
I use TeeChart ver 7.0.1.5.

There is a Chart for Korean.
Image

1. Export Metafile, check Enhanced
Image
** this is origin emf file : http://125.129.124.44/report/ymhl/TeeChart/1.emf

2. Export Metafile, uncheck Enhanced

When I exporting as a Metafile, check Enhanced, there is not a problem
But As you see, uncheck Enhanced, you can see wrong characters.

This Problem occurs both Unicode and Ansi version.

Please Check this problem

Hello Seth,

I could reproduce the problem with the example included with the TeeChart unicode versions. However, using a tool to convert from emf to wmf, the wmf looks correct:
- Codeproject's emf2wmf
- verydoc's emf2vec

I suspect that the wmf doesn't support unicode, as explained in this article and this discussion.
But it wouldn't explain why the tools above give correct wmf files.

Thank you for your answer.

But I have a problem for using that conversion tools.

You said that wmf files do not support unicode, but looking this picture, some Koreans can be seen correctly, other cannot.
Look at the Red Rectangle.

so, is there a difference to saving each Unicode Characters?

Hello!

I ask you again, because I don't understand your answer.

Look at this picture again please
Image

There are some Koreans.
As you see some Koreans in the blue square are correct, but the others in red square are wrong.

If the wmf doesn't support unicode, All of the Koreans are wrong. but it don't.

You said that there is any other difference for saving Unicode characters as wmf files,
Why does this problem occur?

Hello Seth,

I'm glad to hear it!
So the problem was just that you had to use a full unicode font? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unicode_typeface
