I cant compile tee chart pro on Widnows 7 profecional editio

Why I cant compile teechart pro we have licence we bought it today .... I had installed trial version and now I cant install this version I uninstalled previous versions.......

Have you uninstalled the evaluation version? The error message would seem to indicate you are still using the trial version. If the error persists could you please let us know the exact TeeChart version you are trying to install, if it's a source code version or not and for which Delphi/C++ Builder do you want to install it?

yes I uninstalled everything but tell more might be something in registry I have to uninstall......

No, nothing from the registry. When does the error occur? When running the binary installer? When running TeeRecompile from the source code installer? Could you please let us know the exact TeeChart version you are trying to install, if it's a source code version or not and for which Delphi/C++ Builder do you want to install it?

Ok, that's latest TeeChart Pro v8 VCL source release but:

According to our records this license was purchased on February 2008 . Current TeeChart VCL version is v2011 (aka v9).

Anyway, now that it's clear which TeeChart version you are using let's try to solve your problem. When installing source code versions we first recommend to install the binary installers to obtain help files, documentation, tutorials, demos, etc. Once this is done we recommend to install the source code installer and run the TeeRecompile tool provided to compile and install packages to selected IDEs. When you run TeeRecompile tool you should check that it points to the path where TeeChart source code is, for example: C:\Program Files\Steema Software\TeeChart Pro 8.08 Full Source Code\Sources.

Could you please try following those steps and let us know if any problem occurs?

I can compile this version on delphi 2007 but not for delphi 2010
now tell me which version is suitable for delphi 2010.

Hi Squirrel,

The error message seems to indicate the problem is that your Delphi 2010 is a trial version and hence doesn't support command line tools as explained here. Access to command line compiler is necessary to be able to compile and install packages automatically.

If that's the case you have 2 options:

1. Install TeeChart in Delphi 2010 using the specific binary installer.
2. Install the source code packages manually as described in Install.txt shipped with the source code installater.
