Stairs and Series Band not working?

Stairs and Series Band not working?

Using 7.12 I have two TFastLines1 in "Stairs" line mode bound together with a Series Band Tool. But the region between them is drawn as if the where in normal mode! Is there a way to get the correct behavior?
