Update v5 to V7

I've just ordered a V7 version to upgrade my v5. I could see that the upgrade utility only works for the v6 to v7. I've tried the utility on my v5 projects and indeed it does not work.

My question: and about the v5 users ? Will they be ignored ?

no, in your case you must download first the TeeChart Pro v6, upgrade your projects from v5 to v6, then uninstall the v6, download and install the v7, and upgrade from v6 to v7.

Hi pep, Thank you for the response. Yeah, I had thought about this procedure, but I think this procedure is something "stupid" because the the Update Utility is a small program (compared to a full Teechart) and it is much more simple to add an option or even modify it to find v5 and/or v6 keys on the source code. I apologize if I am wrong about this modification, but even Steema should offer the only Update Utility from diferents version for download here, it would save time, network traffic bandwith, and patience for users from V5.

You're not wrong. I've writed down our wish list to be considered for next releases (modify the update utility so it can work for all the versions..).

Pep, There is no link to download Teechart version 6. So it's impossible to perform the procedure you describe. Can you send it by email to me ?

Hi Angelo,

I sent them again yesterday. Have you received the e-mail? the file is a little more than 900 kbs. Is this size a problem for your mail server? Should I split this file into smaller files?
