D2009 installation problem

Hello.

I am not able to install TeeChart 8.04 pro on Delphi 2009. I go through the installation succesfully, but wen I open Delphi I don't see TeeChart components in the component palette.

Moreover if I go on component -> Install Packages I just see TeeChart Standard 8 components (that ship with Delphi 2009).

In Windows (Vista) Add/Remove programs I see TeeChart installed succesfully.

I tried an installation on XP with same result.

Can you please suggest me what to do?

I tried to uninstall and reinstall
then I run TeeRecompile

After this I have tee chart progessional in the installed packages but it is unchecked, as i try to check it I have this message:

Cannot load package 'Tee812.' It contains unit 'TeeAbout,'which is also contained in package 'Tee8120'

Hi Brace,

The best you could do for being sure that everything is where it should, probably is:

- Uninstall any other TeeChart for Delphi 2009 using the uninstaller or TeeInstall.exe from TeeChart installation folder.
- Verify that everything has been uninstalled fine (clean delphi's search and library path, clean delphi's package list, check and remove residual files from system32 and teechart installation folders).
-Once everything works fine, reinstall TeeChart using the installer or TeeRecompile.
- Everything should now work fine, but it will be better if you verify that the installation has written the correct search and library paths and added the component to the package list.

Ok total cleaning worked, anyway installion still didn't work I had to do TeeRecompile.

Anyway now after manually enabling Packages it works.

I think my problems are due to Winodws Vista "security".

It's strange because here we have some Vista machines and we haven't found problems installing TeeChart v8.04.

Anyway, I'm glad to see that you solved it.
