TeeChart for QuickReports Help needed

Post by DataInspector » Thu Dec 18, 2008 8:04 pm

I am using D7, TeeChart 8.02, QuickReport 3 (as it came with Delphi), but can't seem to get TCQR component to install correctly.

I am try to rework an application that had a TeeChart chart on a QuickReport report. It was developed many moons ago (D2), but I was able to get it working in D7 with TeeChart 7. I recently decided to do a major overhaul in part to replace the QuickReport reports with ReportBuilder, or FastReport. However when I upgraded to TC8, it seems to have lost its ability to work with QR3.

I had the classic ""unit xxxx was compiled with a different version of unit yyy" so I uninstalled and reinstalled TeeChart and QR in many different sequences, etc. Even tried to go back to TC7. Nothing seems to work.

I now have QR3 and TC8 loaded, I complied the TeeChart QR components and it says it is installed, but it doesn't show up on the QR toolbar. Now when I try to open the form that hold the QR, I get "Access violation..in rtl70.bpl"

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi DataInspector,

First of all please notice that there's v8.04 VCL available at the client area.

At C:\Program Files\Steema Software\TeeChart 8.04 for Delphi 7\Delphi7\QuickReport (default Englisht installation path) you should find TQRChart packages compatible with the QR version shipped with Delphi. You could try installing them. If you don't succeed you can read the QuickReport article here.

Hope this helps.
