TeeChart V8 Upgrade

Hi,

I have just purchase the Teechart ActiveX V8 download and will be upgrading from V4.

My question is simple. Do I need to manually uninstall V4 from my system before running the V8 installation, or will this be handled automatically.

Also, are there any problems that I am likely to experience when upgrading from V4 straight to V8, and are there any changes or new features that I should be aware of that are likely to break my existing code.

Hi rob14,

No, you should install v4 before installing v8. Moreover, v8 won't uninstall v4 as both version can coexist in the same machine.

You should have problems upgrading your applications as backwards compatibility is something we specially care about when implementing new versions of TeeChart. Also, included with TeeChart v8 there's a set of tools and instructions to automatically upgrades older versions applications where possible.
