Compatibility of TeeChart 7 Pro and TeeChart 8 Pro

Hi

I am using the TeeChart Pro 7.07 quite extensively in a number of projects in Delphi 7, and I wish to upgrade my TeeChart components to version 8.

Can I expect any major compatibility issues, or can I be assured that I need to simply replace version 7 with version 8 and all my code and chart controls should be 100% compatible with the new components. Please advise.

Hi Matt,

No, you shouldn't experience major compatibility issues. Just replacing TeeChart version should be enough. Backwards compatibility is something we are specially concerned about when extending TeeChart.
