Problem on adjusting axis label angle for different series

Post by Walt » Thu Aug 23, 2007 2:21 am

I have created two series, one line one bubble.
Then, I set the bottom axis label angle to 90 degree.
So every label in the horizontal axis is displayed in 90 degree.
Image

Since I only want line series's label been displayed, so created a custom axes and set bubble series horizotal axis to this custom axes.
Then, I set that custom axis label to 0 degree.
Image

As shown in the picture, the bubble series label is displayed in 0 degree but the space under the horizontal axis is still allocated for that label as it displayed in 90 degree.

I uncheck the label visible box.
But the space is still there.

I also set that custom axis label style to None, but the space is still there.
The space size is determined by the length of the text in the bubble series data.

Any idea on how to remove those extra spaces?

Hi Walt,

Before testing what you report, could you please let us know which TeeChart version did you found that issue in? According to your form's screen-shots it makes me think it is a VB6 application and thus TeeChart ActiveX. However, since you wrote at the .NET forum I'm wondering which TeeChart version are you using.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Narcís,

Yea, you are right.
The one in the screen shot is ActiveX 5.0.5.0.
Sorry for misplacing this post.

Thanks.

Hi Walt,

Thanks for the information.

No problem, as you may have noticed I've moved the post to the ActiveX forum then.

I've checked that your company also holds a TeeChart Pro v7 ActiveX license. Have you been able to reproduce the issue using v7?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Narcís,

I didn't try that on Pro v7 but I tried it on v5 which has produced the same issue.

Hi Walt,

Sorry, I'm a little bit confused here. If now you used v5 which version were you using before?

Could you please try if the problem is also present using v7?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Narcís,

I've tried it on TeeChart Pro v5 (activeX) and TeeChart Pro v7 (.net), both are producing the same issue.

Thanks.

Hi Walt,

Thanks for the information. Would you be so kind to send us a simple example project we can run "as-is" to reproduce the problem here?

You can either post your files at news://www.steema.net/steema.public.attachments newsgroup or at our upload page.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Walt,

Thanks for the example project but as I've seen it is not using TeeChart ActiveX, it is using TeeChart for .NET v2.

Anyway, I've been able to reproduce the problem here and added it to our defect list (TV52012421) to be fixed for future releases.

There's no workaround I can think of at the moment.
