Some strange behavior

First a little background:

I have been using the ActiveX product for a number of years and recently updated to the .NET product. My main reason was that going to Vis Studio 2008 to run in Vista ( :() to get a better multilingual environment. The activeX (including the unicode version) would not display Chinese characters when selecting that language whereas the .NET seemed to displayed the characters fine.

Now the issue:

I ran into the bug right off with the data (fixed in the latest maintenance release) but after updating when I select "Choose Items" in the Toolbox the Vis Studio shuts down. Yes I did uninstall (several times) and looked for remnants but found none.

There is another issue of when I try to copy and paste a chart some seemingly strange things happen but I will deal with that later because I don't have TeeChart installed at the moment.

I would prefer to stick with TeeChart since I have a lot of experience with it and it has worked well for us but I am currently concerned about the stability of the .NET product.

Hello loulblades,

Yes, this is a known Visual Studio 2008 defect as I discussed in this thread with other clients. At mentioned thread I also posted a solution suggestion another client sent. Could you please check if this solution works fine for you?

Thanks in advance.

Hi loulblades,

I'm afraid there's little we can do here if suggested solutions doesn't work for you. In that case the only solution would be manually adding TeeChart.dll to your project's references and creating your charts programmatically. If you have any doubt on this don't hesitate to let us know.
