The issue can be reproduced on the TChart examples.
Go to All features-> Chart Styles->Statistical ->Box plot.
You see 3 boxPlot series - red, green, yellow
open "Edit" - or drag any other window across the chart.
The color disappears.

Is there any workaround available?

I'm not able to reproduce this here using latest TeeChart for .NET v3 maintenance release available at the client area, which is build 3.5.3188.18560/1/2. Which exact TeeChart version are you using?
