TeeTree threw an exception

I have tried all the remedies on this forum and in the newsgroups, however when I try to add the Steema.TeeTree.VCL.Design.dll to the .NET VCL Components I keep getting an error that says, 'The type initializer for "TreeReg.Units.TreeReg thew an exception." I know some people have gotten this error and have said reinstalling helps. But it does not help me.

Can somebody who solved this problem give me a complete step by step guide on how you did it?

Thanks,

Johann

Here are some some steps to reproduce:

On Delphi 2005 Update 2 or Update 3

1. Go to Components
2. Select Installed .NET Components
3. Select .NET VCL Components tab
4. Select Add
5. Navigate to the Steema.TeeTree.VCL.Design.dll file
6. Select it
7. Exception raised

Now there is no amount of re-installing or compliling that fixes this problem.
It seems to exists because of some change that Update 2 made. Because in Update 1 this does not happen.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Johann,

Have you tried any of those customers suggestions below? Some other customers solved their problems that way.

Yes I have tried all of them. TeeChart installs fine. It is TeeTree that is giving the problems.

Have you been able to reproduce the errors using the steps I outlined above? It puzzles me because it only happened after Update 2 was installed. I even deleted all Tee* files and re-installed 7.04. However if you try to add TeeTree manually to your .NET VCL Components, it gives that error without failure every time.

Thanks,

Johann.
