I looked at the sample of v2. Is this a only a subset of the styles as I noticed that gauge and radar are not shown?

In version 1, the TeeCommander was not available in the ASP .NET charting environment. Is it or some means for the user to modify chart attributes available in v2?

Thanks

Hi Mike,

Yes, that demo is only a subset, gauge and radar series are included. If you download the trial version an run features demo you'll find all those series.

TeeCommander is not available in ASP.NET, however users can modify chart attributes as shown in the v2 WebForms demo where users can change values using listboxes, checkboxes, textboxes, etc. for each property you want users to be able to change.

Do you know whether we have to upgrade our license to get this new version? I think we are currently renewing our licence.

Thanks

Thanks I appeciate the answer.

I don't want to install a trial version on my development system, I'm sure it will cause problems with the licenced version.

Yes, we have always been able to use dropdowns, but one for colour, one for style one for etc starts to get cumbersome.

Oh well, life is like that
Cheers

You shouldn't have any problems as settings are absolutelly separated from other versions.

Yes, but as chart editor uses WinForms it can't be used in a client browser.

Yes, I knew that when I purcahsed v1. I would have liked it to be applied to webchart as well as TChart. No need to reply to this.
As it is I see no value in upgrading to v2.

Hi Mike,

For this you could use TeeChart Pro ActiveX free license included with TeeChart for .NET. ActiveX version will allow you using TeeChart and TeeCommander as a "live" object in a WebForm.
As it is I see no value in upgrading to v2.
Well, it will depend on your needs but, for example, if you browsed the web demo you must have appreciated several new features regarding webchart user interaction.

I just want to mention that I experienced that the assembly reference of an existing project using TeeChart .NET V1 was automatically changed to TeeChart .NET V2 after installing the trial version.

The Active X sounds like it will solve what I want to do, which is let the end user interact and change series colours, transparency etc. . What is the upgrade / cross grade price from v.1 .NET to obtain .NET Active X
Thanks
Mike McCann

And another question - is the Active X deployed on the server, and is there an lc.exe run required?

A TeeChart Pro ActiveX license is freely given with any purchased TeeChart for .NET license. If you can't find yours keys please contact our sales department at sales@steema.com with your customer details.

ActiveX version can be used in a server and doesn't neet license files. For using ActiveX version in a web server you may require a Web Server Run-time license. For more information please have a look here
