Hello.

I have just installed TeeChart Pro v7.04 for Delphi 2005. The installation went fine (no errors there), but I got the following error when starting Delphi 2005 Architect (Update 3) just after install:

"Failed to load C:\Program Files\Steema Software\TeeChart 7.04 for Delphi 2005\Delphi9\Assemblies\Steema.TeeTree.Vcl.Design.dll.
The type initializer for "TreeReg.Units.TreeReg" threw an exception."

Why do I get this error, and should I try reinstalling the software?

For the record, I restarted the computer and restarted Delphi 2005. No error was shown, but I am unsure if everything was registered ok with Delphi (since the error mentioned an exception in "TreeReg.Units.TreeReg".

Hi Tom,

We haven't heard of any other customer with this kind of problems after installing Delphi 2005 Update 3. Some of them just had other problems that reinstalling TeeChart solved as D2005 UP3 installation reinstalled old TeeChart Standard packages.

Could you please check if you have packages and components installed at packages list and componet palette. If so everything would seem to be ok.

Hi NarcĂs,

I did check the components in both Win32 and VCL.Net mode and they all seem to be there.

I assume that no components should show on .Net WinForms projects right?

Yes, that's right. To use TeeChart in Delphi 2005 .NET WinForms you need TeeChart for .NET.
