Datatable tool out of sync when scrolling

Hi,

I have a bar chart and the Datatable tool below it. I have set up the chart such that holding down the right mouse button and moving the mouse scrolls the chart left and right. While I do this, I see the datatable values change as they scroll. The bars keep their value as I scroll, but the visible datatable elements will change many times. Obviously this is not correct behavior - is there something in the datatable initialzation I need to do to prevent this?

We already knew this problem, and it is added to list Bug Report with number [TF02013860], we will try to fix it for next versions of TeeChart .NET.

Yipes! That is not what I was hoping to here...

Is there a workaround for this? When is the next version due out? Will this be in the next version?

I do not see how the datatable tool can be considered usable unless you disable scrolling and zooming, which is not a very good option in my case.

Hi Sandra,

in addition to any workarounds (if any exist) that you can suggest, is there a list of known issues with the datatable tool that I can review? It would be nice to see so that I do not spend time troubleshooting known issues...

Hi Kurt,

I'm afraid there's no workaround I can think of. A date hasn't been fixed for next TeeChart for .NET v3 maintenance release yet. I'm not able to tell you if this issue will be fixed on it either.

There's another issue with DataTableTool which we are aware of:

Hi,

I just realized that the same issue happens when zooming in. This is a deal-breaker for us. I hate to put it like this, but if I can't find a workaround, and I don't have a date for when the issue will be resolved, I am going to have to find another vendor. Are we certain there is no workaround available?

The issue has been assigned for attention. We should be able to provide a fix to be included with an update within 3 to 4 weeks.

The fix isn't yet written into the first v4 release. We do expect it to form part of a maintenance release for May (v3 & v4).

It looks like the scrolling is improved - the data seems to be correct for the bars showing. However it seems like the datatable overlaps values often, which makes for an ugly display. Here is a screenshot:
