Looking forward to version 9... what's coming?

I'm really curious about what is coming out next. There's a few features I'd really like to have, but I thought I'd ask about what is coming out before I posted my requests.
So, what's up on the list?
Thanks

Hi Ed,
We still don't have a list of the exact features that will be included in v9 but we have done several proofs of concept. However, the most important innovation in v9 we are working on is a new OpenGL rendering engine for providing superior rendering quality and advanced features.

That is the main thing I was wanting--and to have it so (axis/chart) captions do not overwrite each other

Hi TestAlways,
A date hasn't been established yet but it could be on first 2009's quarter.

Do you have a road map? or at least the features that you anticipate in the next version--and a target date?

Thank you for getting back to me... I guess I'm going to have to login on my vacation <g>
Charts are a big part of my product, and I show them off in my marketing material, which I need to get reprinted soon.
Looking forward to your announcement...

Hello,
The product release schedule for this year is listed here:
http://www.steema.com/files/public/Stee ... p_2009.pdf
The document doesn't go into detail yet about what specific new features will be included with the VCL version, we'll be adding to the document over the coming weeks.

Marc

I see from the roadmap that you are planning a major version release in Q3 09. I'm waiting for a fix for a bug I reported last year and was told it would be fixed in the next release. Are there any plans for a minor release before the next major release or do I have to wait until after the summer for a fix to my issue?
BRgds,
Marius

Hi Marius,
Yes, we expect to have, at least, one new v8 maintenace release before the next major version.
Can you confirm the bugs you mention are those described here?
http://www.teechart.net/support/viewtopic.php?t=8817
Thanks in advance.

Yes that is the bug. The client is getting restless, so bugging me about it weekly...
I've turned off anti aliasing for the chart in mention but he really wants it back and with the ability to draw lines...
