Install Teechart 6 under delphi 7

Here we go again ...

I have had to re-install TC 6 Pro under a clean installation of Delphi 7 and, of course, am running into the same old problem of getting rid of the cut down version of TChart that comes with the IDE. There used to be some instructions on how to do this but they are impossible to find on the website/forum and don't appear to be included with the numerous install.txt files that are installed with the units. Please provide a link to them as I do not want to waste any more time on this (as I have done already on numerous occasions over the years as an otherwise satisfied TeeChart user).

Thanks

Peter

It pretty straight forward. First, search through all your Delphi installation directories for Tee*.* and delete all the files that look like they could be part of TeeChart. I think I found one file that wasn't, can't remember the name.

Do the same in \Windows\System32.

Then install TeeChart. When you next start Delphi it might complain about a missing component, just choose the "don't load at startup" option to get rid of it. And you may have some more complaints about missing libraries when building old projects that use TeeChart. Use the "remove from project" option. The new will take their place.

Good luck!
