Axis Position and Zooming

I have a chart which has the default axes positioned different to normal. I have them set up so that they start at 50%, and end at 100%. I also have Zoom->Direction set to Horizontal. When I zoom in the Left and Right axes change their minimum and maximum values. The amount they change it by relates to the amount of screen that they cover:

50%->100%: each zoom doubles the axis range
75%->100%: each zoom quadruples the axis range

As I have the zoom direction set to horizontal, I wouldn't have expected these to change at all.

Is this is deliberate feature, or a bug?

I'm using TChart Pro v7.05

Hi jhhd,

Please notice that v7.05 is not latest TeeChart VCL v7 release. At the client download area you can find v7.12 for BDS 2006 and RAD Studio 2007 and v7.07 for all other IDEs. Could you please try if those versions solve the problem at your end? I'm not able to reproduce it here using v8 either.

I've upgraded to 7.07 and the problem still seems to exist.

Hi jhhd,

In that case you may be interested checking v8's evaluation version. Or send us a simple example project we can run "as-is" to reproduce the problem here and we'll check if that project works fine in v8.

You can either post your files at news://www.steema.net/steema.public.attachments newsgroup or at our upload page.

Thanks in advance.

Hi jhhd,

Thanks for the example project. I confirm that this works fine here using TeeChart Pro v8.03 VCL. v8.03 is still a release candidate version but it will be published very soon.
