I have just upgraded from Teechart V7 to V8.01 in D2007 Upd1. I now get an error 'Can't load package dclado100.bpl' when starting D2007 if a form having any components on it is loaded. If I click 'ignore all' then loading continues but one or more components on the form are missing. Checking Components->Install Packages shows the Teechart 8 package has not been loaded. If I close the form and re-open it, the form is now loaded correctly and all components are there. With the Teechart 8 package installed, I cannot open any form containing design components without the error showing.

I don't use ADO components and the package is not installed. Is there some requirement with Teechart 8 for that package to be available in the IDE?

This also happens on my other PC. Further testing reveals that it happens after TeeTree 2 components for Teechart 7.11 are removed. Can you fix this please.

Hi Andrew,

It's strange. You are the first customer to report this. When installing v8 did you install TeeTree v2 as well? You could try either using TeeRecompile or TeeInstall tools shipped with TeeChart's installation.

Further testing reveals that if I remove the Teechart 8 package (DclTeePro811.bpl), the problem disappears and all forms load ok. Adding the Teechart 8 package causes most (not all) forms to give the error 'Can't load package dclado100.bpl' when loading the form. Clicking 'Ignore All' causes the form to load without some (random) components - and the Teechart 8 package is not active (not ticked). I'm also using:

NexusDB 2
Raize 4
Rave 7
Infopower 2007
1st Class 2007
...

Yes, TeeTree 8 was installed automatically. I then had both V7.11 and V8 TeeTree packages installed. I wonder if it is a conflict with NexusDB? Having said that, Teechart 8 did work ok until I removed Teetree V7.11.

Running TeeInstall doesn't fix the problem.

You should make sure that the same IDE doesn't make reference to different TeeChart (or any other component) versions as otherwise package version conflicts may occur.

Regarding NexusDB, is that component using any TeeChart package? If that's the case, then you may need to have this component upgraded to the new TeeChart version.

Is this another Teechart 8 problem?

[Pascal Fatal Error] F2051 Unit TeeStore was compiled with a different version of Chart.TCustomChart
[Pascal Fatal Error] F2051 Unit TeeEdit was compiled with a different version of TeePreviewPanel.TTeePreviewPanel

I only have the Teechart Pro 8 components installed and the library path is correct:

E:\TeeChart 8.0.1 for Delphi 2007\Delphi11\Lib

Hi again Narcis,

Never mind. I had to re-install D2007 to install dbGo and, of course, I forgot that the D2007 Teechart dcu files are installed again in the RadStudio\5.0\Lib folder! Removing them fixed the problem.
