colorGrid series - getting started

Hi

I wanting to use the colorgrid series functionality to plot binned data. However, the data "resolution" will be every 0.05 or 0.1 rather than every 1.

How do I alter the axes to my scale rather than the unit scale that the colorgrid series expects. For instance, is it possible to put on a dummy grid along with dummy axes to show my scale? My scale will always be a factor of the binned data - the data will be binned every x centimetres (eg 1, 5, 10) whereas I want the axes to be shown in metres.

Or, should I be using a different series!

I'm using v7.07.

Thanks

Hi wdsr,

At this thread you'll find information on how ColorGrid series works.

Regarding axes settings, I strongly recommend you to read Tutorial 4 - Axis Control. You may need to set a custom axis increment.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, it was the irregulargrid setting that I required. This negates my need for custom axes.

However, I had been attempting to draw custom axes but can not get them to appear. Could you also tell me where to find Tutorial 4 - I have search everywhere but I obviously have a blind spot!

Hi William,

You'll find the tutorials at TeeChart's program group created by the binary installer. Only binary installers contain documentation and examples, source code installer only contains the full sources.

Tutorial 4 also explains how to use custom axes.
