Hi,

Just downloaded the 7.11 evaluation and when I try to install I get the error - "The file C:\Program Files\.........\TeEngineEval.dcuil" could not be opened." The installation then stops.

Any ideas on ways round this?

I am using Delphi 2007.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Chef,

This is a strange issue, we will have to investigate it here. In the meantime, the quickest solution would be if you were a source code customer and you used provided Recompile tool to compile and install the packages into the IDE. If necessary we could send you our latest Recompile tool version supporting Delphi 2007.

BTW: Which Delphi 2007 version are you using?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Chef,

Thanks for the information.

Are you a source code client? If not we will send you compiled packages so that you can install them manually ASAP.

Thanks in advance.

Hi NarcĂs,

I have only got source code for v5 and have asked your sales team for info on upgrading.

So yes, compiled packages would be greatf or just now to continue our evaluation.

Cheers,

Chef

Hi Chef,

If you are using v7's evaluation version, do you have the chance to test it in any other Delphi version? The packages we have right now are for the registered version. If necessary we will install the eval version here and send you the packages compressed there.

Hi Chef,

As an update to this issue,

After some further tests we found the problem with the evaluation version is different from the registered version and we will try to fix it for future releases. In the meantime, a solution is manually uncompressing the file (I already sent you by e-mail) at the folder where the installer complains about a missing file (\libnet) and run the installer again.

Would you be so kind to let us know if it solved the problem at your end?

Thanks in advance.
