Hi,

Is there any plan to develop Dashboard controls and Gauge controls

Hi IntelliVIEW,

TeeChart already supports gauges. Current gauges are pretty limited so we are planning on enhancing and extending this kind of series for future releases.

Nice Looking Guage, like on your web site in the collage!

How do I get that Nice Looking Gauge in V8, D2007.

The guage you have looks pretty bad. Maybe I am missing
something.

I assume I have to choose a Nice background, and a Nicer Pointer.

But I can't get a nice pointer (like a gauge uses), and the whole thing
is based on a big square... Not a circle or 1/2 circle (Which is what
we want).

The equalizer style seems to be closer in size, but we want that Oval
and Quality Hand.

Please point me in the right direction.

Hi,

well, at this moment our Gauge series cannot be very customized (in design terms). We're working on this, adding additional Gauge series which will include more design options, efects, etc...
This will introduced in one of the next maintenance releases of TeeChart Pro v8.

Gauges... Suggestion...

While you are working on this, keep these things in mind.

1) A lot of guages are nice at 1/2 circle
2) Dundas has great digital dashboards components I cant use!
3) Adding Colored Series/MinMax's to represent the sweet and bad
spots on the graph (Dynamically is the hard part).
4) The ability to BEVEL around the ARC/AXIS to create a silver ring
(Or any color) would be helpful.

I really do not want to put a background image there, but doing it is fine.
The problem is it cant scale with the AXIS changes so no indicators can
be there.

As a work-around I am doing just this, and fixing the data ranges,
which is horrible.

Anyways, I hope this finds the appropriate people, as the rest of your
product is very solid.

BTW, some of these same concepts can be applied to normal bar charts.
Like Red, Yellow, and Green areas on the back wall tied to actual amounts based on targets.

But you guys are smart enough to know this...

Good luck.

Thanks for the comments Jim,

First Gauge implementations are intended to follow the existing designs at: http://www.steema.com/products/teechart ... auges.html

1/2 Gauges are in the pipeline, there's still some work to do over the second half of this year to increase the Gaugeset.

You'll see some of the other features you describe on the gallery page linked above. We'll be making improvements allround on those Gauges. We expect first round VCL Gauges in an imminent v8 maintenance release.

Regards!
