installing quickreport-support for Teechart

Hello,
I just purchased TeeChart Standard v7.0 VCL/CLX.
I use it with Delphi 7 and Quickreport v4.
Until now I used the free Teechart v4 version.

Installing v7 went without problems. Installing Quickreport support does not. I followed all the steps described. But one error followes the other.
I had this problem also when I had to reinstall the free v4. I hoped that this problem would be solved in the purchased v7. I started off with a clean setup of Windows XP, Delphi 7 and Quickreport. So no old files are to find on my pc. The compiler keepes asking for old quickreport files???
And yes, I placed the right version of Quickreport in the dpk-files and I did copy all the files into the right directories.

I hoped (after a dreadful systemcrash) to get everything up and running quickly, but ....grrrrrrrrrr.

Why is there no setup for quickreport support? Would make if a lot easier.

What can I do to get it running?

Regards,
Jan

Hello Jan,

TeeChart Pro v7 VCL Source code installation includes a tool to recompile and install TeeChart. This tool also recompiles TQRChart packages with existing QR version.

We need for information of the exacts problems you are having to be able to solve your them. Could you please post the errors you are getting and at which step are you getting them?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jan,

It would seem that this package is still looking for the old Quick Report packages. Can you please check again that you properly upgraded the reference at TeeQR77.dpk and that new QR version paths are on this package search path list at Project\Options\Directories/Conditionals? Then try compiling TeeQR77.dpk and DclTQR77.dpk as told in the instructions.

OK, after repeating the entire procedure 4 times it worked.
QRChart is installed.
What caused the problem???

Thanks for the advise.

Jan

Hi Jan,

I'm glad to hear you could finally get it working. I suspect the problem was that the Quick Report package reference in TeeChart for Quick Report packages wasn't properly upgraded.
