Does Teechart VCL Versions 7.05/7.06 really work with BCB6?

Sirs,

I have tried to install the latest VCL versons of Teechart into BCB 6, but only 7.04 seems to work without runtime problems.

The problems I always have are runtime issues (illegal address accesses) or things like 'Property ExplicitLeft not defined' when trying to run the version 7 new features demo (as delivered in the package) or when trying to re-build when the New feature demo project is opened. Same sort of issues when trying to create *new* projects with 7.05 or 7.06 => random runtime errors happen.

I thought this might be a configuration/upgrade issue with my machine since I have gone through several upgrades with version 7. But I just recently re-configured my machine with a fresh Windows XP install, fresh install of BCB 6 with BCB service pack 4. So, I decided to try to install the latest teeChart again. I tried to install 7.06 with the binary installer and the problems still existed (even new features demo as delivered as a binary still crashes!) Tried uninstalling 7.06 and installing 7.05 with same results!

So, are there still installation or runtime issues with the binary installers for 7.05/7.06 with BCB 6? I can't believe it's me or the machine now since I started from scratch with a fresh OS install of Win XP install and BCB/Teechart install!

I assume 7.05/7.06 works with BCB6 since you provide a *specific* binary installer for this BCB version!

For now, I've just dropped back to 7.04... (For instance, new features demo works great and compiles fine if 7.04 is used in BCB 6).

Thanks for any help you can provide

Hi 944turbo,

TeeChart Pro v7.06 works fine in BCB6. However, there may be some problems with the new features demo.

Would you be so kind to let us know which are the errors you get so that we can fix them for the next releases?

Also, if you have problems havint v7.06 working in BCB6 you can post them here and we will try to help you having it working fine.
