When I try to install it always comes with a message that the default (installed with XE3) TChart is still available and that it must be removed/backed up. After installation it gives errors (packages duplicate items). How can I remove the TChart that comes with Delphi XE3 completely so that I can install this TeeChart2012RADXE3.exe correctly?

The TeeChart Pro installer should ask you and backup the TeeChart Standard version shipped with the IDE for you. In case you are getting errors like this

Can't load package *. It contains unit *, which is also contained in package *.

It means two packages the IDE is trying to load are entering in conflict.
Just open the packages list and unselect the TeeChart Standard package that comes with the IDE (it ends with a zero, ie DclTee9170). Then, you should be able to select the Pro package (ie DclTeePro917) without any conflict.

The problem still persists.

After installing I get the message : Cannot load package Tee917. It contains unit 'VCLTee.TeeGDIPlus', which is also contained in pakage 'Tee9170'. If I try to manually enable Teechart Pro 2012 VCL components I get the same message.

Please, make sure you have unselected the TeeChart Standard package before selecting the Pro version.
If you are sure you have unselected the Standard version, it has to be some 3rd party tool that you may have installed who is referencing the Standard version and causing the conflict. If that's the case, please try unselecting any 3rd party tool you may suspect to be integrating TeeChart Standard in one of its components. If you find this was the cause of the problem, and you still want that package installed, please contact the manufacturer to have instructions on how to proceed. Steema Software supports the integration of TeeChart into QuickReport and Intraweb.

We have both installed, quickreports as well as Intraweb, any suggestions on how to proceed?

First of all, verify if the components "TeeChart for Intraweb" or "TeeChart for QuickReport" are enabled. Disable them and make sure with them disabled you can activate TeeChart Pro.
