Hi,

I am trying to Install the latest Full Source version of TeeChart Pro 2012 that I downloaded today on Windows 7 (Japanese), but I got below error message when I run the Recomplition tool. At first I got "Access Denied" error when the Recompilation tool was attempt to backup the original TeeChart Standard version, So I run the Recompilation tool with Administrator privilege. The installation of TeeUI916, TeeDB916, TeePro916, TeeGL916, TeeWorld916 seems fine, but because of this TeeLanguage916 installation error, the installation is aborted. I chose Win32, Win64, Max OSX, iOS, but the error occurs at the very first Win32. The error messages are all messed up, so I don't know what those errors are. Please advice.

Hello Terry,

Ok. Seems the problem are the TeeCatalan.pas and TeeSpanish.pas, so there are some characters aren't accepted. I think a workaround is, use the old files TeeCatalan.pas and TeeSpanish.pas in new version of source code of TeeChartVCL Pro 2012, this shouldn't affect other files and you must work fine. You can use these files until we achieve to solve the problem.

If this workaround doesn't work for you, please let me know.

Hi Sandra,

It didn't solve the problem. I tried to install TeeChart2012 v2012.5 (120327) but the same error occurred. I have never installed TeeChart Pro for my Delphi XE2 before. I have been using the bundled TeeChart for XE2. The last TeeChart Pro that I purchased/installed prior to 2012 is TeeChart Pro 7 on Delphi 2007 (Japanese) without any problem.

So, anyway, I switched RAD Studio XE2 Language to English using BDSSetLang.exe and now I can read the error messages in English. There are whole bunch of "unterminated string" errors and other related errors because of missing close quote due to encoding change. I fixed adding close quote one by one as a temporary fix, but the issue was not only for those two files. Too many same errors had occurred with the most of language files including the following:

-TeeSpanish.pas
-TeeCatalan.pas
-TeeFrench.pas
-TeeDanish.pas
-TeeDutch.pas
-TeeChinese.pas
-and more and more

So, I gave up. I bought a new PC (Win 7 US English), changed the Windows system locale (non-unicode app language) setting to Japanese using Control Panel->Region and Language, installed RAD XE2, then installed TeeChart Pro 2012 again, it still didn't work. Then, I changed the non-unicode application language to US English, and finally it worked. After the installation of TeeChart Pro 2012, I switched the system locale back to Japanese, and it seems working fine. But I am sure the same problem will happen when I install the future updates.

I hope this information will help you to make a solution for this issue. I think the fundamental problem is those language files are not encoded as Unicode.

Hello Terry,

Sorry for the delay, but we are expended many days to try to discover because the problem are produced. Finally, we find that the files of Languages need convert to UTF-8 if you wan compiled in XE2. For this reason, we are modified the files to UTF-8 as a momentarily solution, and it works fine. We will try to solve the problem permanently. I have send you an e-mail with information.
