VCL Chart rending quality vs .NET

Why do the VCL charts render so poorly compared to the .NET charts even when using GDI+?

The VCL Product page is misleading imho, right at the top of the page is "Click to see the gallery", I think click on Charts and see fantastic looking charts. The reality is the TChart VCL doesn't come close to those screenshots.

Vincent.

Hello Vincent,

I agree with you that the gallery, as it is right now, can induce to confusion. We'll study how we can make it clearer.
As you probably know and you'll understand, some of Microsoft .NET Framework has more advanced rendering techniques for all pens and brushes than in the VCL framework, but without forget that we follow work to will to enhance charts and making it more attractive to viewers while trying not to sacrify its power.
I recommend looking at the following threads, where you'll find some examples of quite nice looking VCL examples and latest improvements.
