Your Java plans

Hello,
Oct 18, 2006 you announced Version 1.0 and now, nearly one year later no further version has been released. Do you consider Java-TeeChart being bugfree and perfect? What are your plans with this product? I consider it to buy, but don't like to invest in a discontinued product.

Hi Thomas,
TeeChart for Java is very much alive. We already have some bugs on the list to be fixed and we expect and update version early on 2008.

Do you already know when an update will be available? What do you planning for Java Teechart in future?

Hello,
There is still some way to go before the new version will be ready, We don't have a release date available at this moment.
New features will include the greater part of the Charting featureset currently included with TeeChart NET v3. See

Hi stepand76,
We expect to have a maintenace release of TeeChart for Java v1 in one week approximately. TeeChart for Java v2 release is expected to be in about a month.

This is great news for me. Is there some beta or demo of v2 available?

CPU usage when operating in plot window

I mentioned a while ago that there is a high load on the CPU when interacting with the chart. Is this looked at? Also, will there be a feature/enhancement list available? Looking forward to this, we will probaly need another license soon also.

I'm afraid the CPU load issue (TJ71012805) hasn't been enhanced yet.
Yes, there will be a list of new features and bug fixes implemented as we usually do in the
version info page. Most likely a link will be included in versions release announcements.

Hi stepand76,
There are several bugs due for a revision compile. It hasn't been released yet because we've been able to send code resolutions to customers and we've taken the opportunity to check in parallel with v2 development, nearly available for release too, issues previously unseen by us in v1. We may put the v1 revision update out this week, it has been put back only because issues reported in the interim have found working solutions.
