Smith Charts

I am working with the TeeChart Smith Charts for the first time. I was wondering where I can find out which properties to set which way in order to get the Smith Charts to look like typical Smith Charts, i.e.

1) Showing angle (in radians or degree) rather than the imaginary part of the impedance around the edge

2) Controlling the density of lines

3) Having the lines about as dense throughout the plot, that is having the line spacing change as you go from right to left of the Smith Chart.

We already have created Excel versions of the Smith chart where every line is drawn back to the right-center point of the chart. I was hoping that Steema's Smith Chart wouldn't do this, but would stop drawing the lines as necessary as the density of lines got too big.

Thanks.

Hi dastrw,

I've added those enhancements to our wish-list to be fixed in future releases (TV52012578).

Is there documentation on which chart/series/axes/etc. properties have an effect on the display of Smith Charts?

Or do I need to spend a day or two trying every combination to figure this out myself?

Hi dastrw,

You should have a look at the properties and methods lists in the help files.

I can't see the Smith Chart help files because I don't have TeeChartx7.hlp. Please send me a copy, but change the extension so that my company's firewall won't strip it out of the email.
