I am using TeeCharPro Active X v5.0 with Visual Basic 6.0 sp6.

Everything works well on xp. When I try to install my software on vista, the teechartpro returns an error file missing or invalid or not registered.

There is no error when installing on new install of windows xp.

How can I fix this, thank you?

Hi Tomer,

I guess the failure is due to stronger security constraints. Create a shortcut to cmd.exe. Right click it. Select Run As Admin and register the ocx from that console window.

If that doesn't work also: close VS and right click its icon in the start menu to "Run As Admin" and register the .ocx from the console window.

Also please notice that v5 is not fully supported in Vista as, for example, LoadFromURL method won't work in that environment. Anyway, TeeChart Pro v7 ActiveX fully supports Windows Vista.
