is it correct that not all properties can be changed programmatically?
For example,
how can I change the 'visible' option for 'Light0', 'Light1',...

yes, you're correct, it cannot be changed via code, only through de Chart editor. However I've added this on our wish list to be considered to inclusion for the next releases.
