Hi,

Error happen when i include Tee-chart into OCX( VB6), program is using vb.net . then when we close the window form, it prompt out a memory error message and close all the running program( HTML Page) . We include some animation function into tee-chart also.

The Error sometimes happen, sometimes not.

Is anybody face the same problem and know how to solve it???

Error message as below

"The instruction at 0x5047faal referenced memory at at 0x714a590bc The memory could not be written"

Thanks.

Hi,
The Error sometimes happen, sometimes not.
These are always the most difficult ones to solve, as we cannot begin to look for a solution until we can reliably reproduce it here. Is there any change of you sending us a project we can run "as-is" to see the error in action?

Have you tried using AXv7 instead?

I'm sorry, that is not going to be possible.

Is there no way you can send me a small, simple project with which we can reproduce the error here?

Please be aware that no further development will be made regarding TeeChart Pro AXv5.

I don't know, as I have never seen the problem in action.

No. Apart from one or two differences in some programming languages (see C:\Program Files\Steema Software\TeeChart Pro v7 ActiveX Control\Docs\Upgrading from TeeChart v6.doc) v7 is perfectly backwardly compatible with v5.

My best suggestion is that you download an evaluation version of v7 from:

Dear Sir

I did download the evaluation version of v7 and make another OCX build by VB6 SP6. I try to put this OCX to asp.net & VB.Net. Too bad the memory error still occured!

That is abit hard for you try to solve the problem I did mention without give you any simple application or source code. I did inform my manager that you request some simple application. But..... No.

Anyway, I just can tell you more detail about this problem
We have try build 3 different OCX (same function) in 3 different machine. all got the memory error problem. But the error code (Example 0x5047faal) is different.

Windows 2000 (SP5) , Windows XP (SP2)
VB6 (SP6)
.Net 2003
Framework 1.1
MS SQL Server
MS Analysis Server (SP3)
Ms Office XP
IBM DB2
IE 6
and other...

OCX function
We just add on some function make it more userfriend.
-Popup menu to change the chart type
-Onclick series to draw another set of chart
-one text box for MaxPointsPerPage and 2 icon for user click to move next & back
-Popup menu for user select to display 3D or 2D and show legend or hide
-Timer rotation the chart when user click at the popup menu
-Mouse down to move, zoom or rotation the chart.
and other function is not related to Tchart.

I hope you can create a OCX similer the function that I mention using VB6 and try to run in IE6 and VB.net application.
Note : Try to run the exe build by VB.net and that exe must included the OCX build by VB6.

Thank very much.
Cliven

Hello Cliven,

Quite some time since your last post. In case you're still trying to locate this problem and to help us reproduce it, I have another question for you. Are you able to reproduce the problem with any of the sample VB.Net projects included with TeeChart? ..if not, is there any modification that you could make to those projects to make the problem occur?

With thanks.
