Using Pattern Editor at run-time

Recently we have upgraded to the newest version of ActiveX control v2012.0.0.8 (previously used version was 5.0) and are having trouble with formatting the plotted data points at run-time through the editor. the plot type is point. I can easily change the color of the point borders but not the pattern:

- Solid pattern does not respond to color changes at all
- I can't set the empty points (even from the code - I have to set it to solid white to give it appearance of empty points)
- it picks up the colors with some of the other patterns but as it is changing the pattern of the points, it's also changing the back wall pattern.

Are these known bugs in the editor or is there different way the editor needs to be linked to the plot with this version?

Hi,

This sounds to be the same reported here. Note TeeChart ActiveX is a wrapper from TeeChart VCL, so the fixes in the second in general also apply for the first.
In case you think these are different problems, please try to arrange a simple example project we can run as-is to reproduce the problem here.

Thanks for the reply. It does seem like one of the problems that we've encountered. The latest post from 2 weeks ago noted that this will be fixed in next maintenance release. Do you have an estimate when this may be available?

Thanks.

Hi,

I'm afraid I can't tell you a date for the next maintenance release to be published.
I'll prepare an ocx from the actual sources for you and sent to the mail account you have registered in this forum.
Extract the ocx from the zip, register it and give it a try to your application. Don't hesitate to let us know if you still find any problem with it.
