Problem registering teechart.ocx in runtime environment

Hello,
trying to post in an existing thread didn't have the desired effect, so I'll try again by starting a new thread.
Here is my problem:
We had an old teechart4-license and used it in our VB6-software to show some pie-charts. It always worked without problems with over 300 customers on different windows-versions. A few month ago we had the first problem with our programm "hanging" on all forms with the pie-chart, but only one customer had this problem and we couldn't reproduce it.
Later while testing a new version of our software on a windows 7 32-bit ultimate virtual Machine (VMWare) we encountered the same problem described in the thread "Cant install teechart5.ocx". Our setup "hang" at the point where it tried to register the teechart.ocx with regsvr32.
I tried regsvr32 manually, but got no response. The system showed the busy cursor for a while, but nothing else, no failure notice but no success message either. The registration doesn't seem to have worked, because the forms still don't show.
I got the teechart8-evaluation version and tried that, but had the same problem. Then we decided to buy the new version teechart2010, but that also didn't work.
I have got a virtual machine with Windows 7 RC1, on which everything works fine and we have got some customers with windows 7 both 32- and 64-bit which don't have any problems either.
That's why I don't have any idea where to look. I tried the supposed solution from another thread too, which is to rename the .ocx-file to .dll and register that. But that didn't work for neither teechart.ocx nor teechert8.ocx nor teechart2010.ocx.
On my development-machine everythings works as it should, also most of our customers have no problems with the runtime version, except one, who has the same problem as I on my virtual machine.
Please look into it and give me some advices, what to check or what to do to fix the problem.
Thanks and greetings
