Tee Chart V5 Messing IIS Environment

We are using TeeChart V5 since long time in ASP page and never had a issue.

Since last 2 days the same ASP page is messing up. When it comes to the point where it try to initiate/instantiate the Tee Chart Object, it mess up IIS environment badly that we have to reset whole IIS in order to work other ASP corretly.

The Environment we are having is Windows Server 2003 SP2 , IIS 6.0 and IE 6.

Looks like some bug in PC environment or TeeChart may conflict with Recent Patch.

Did any body came across this issue before? Any guidance or work around here?

Here it is a customer who also suspects from Windows updates to be causing some problems
Could you please try the same as him?

If it doesn't help, could you please arrange a simple example project we can run as-is to reproduce the problem here?

I check the post and looks like they are suggesting to install TeeChart7. So what is did is download new evalucation version TeeChart8 and tried. but got the same error. Some times i get Wrong*.tee file format and some times it just wait for half and hour.

I tried all step by step testing, what i found is ,when my asppage try to load TeeChart5 object, Local IIS is not happy with that.

Do you know any specific settings for TeeChart5 in IIS 6.0?
I also tried to uninstall IE8 and tried from IE 7, but the same issue.
I reinstalled TeeChart 5 more than 3 times, but the issues is not resolved.
I reset the IIS settings more than 10 times, but no help.
If some other user login to my pc, he is able to open the ASP page with TeeChart object fine without any issue.

Are you familiar with any kind of UserID or security associated with TeeChart 5 object?

Can you focus on the log file or activity i can see for TeeChart 5 object, how you guys set up the system?

Please focus on some teechart5 data flow with IIS 6.0, Windows Server 2003 and IE7/8 as soon as possible.

it's a strange problem, as if it works since now. It seems to be related with folder permissions, could you please check them ?
Do the ASP examples included into the TeeChart ActiveX installation work for you ?

The permission is not changed. Even the exaple never worked. but when i tried with other team mate ID, it woked, so suddently i logged back with my user ID, and it worked for some time, then again it blowed after 5-7 try.

Since then, i tried team mate id couple times, it never worked.


Any suggetion.

Hi,

Could you please try moving your application to another machine to see if the problem is in the concrete machine?
Also, if you still suspect some determinate windows updates, you could try uninstalling them.
Finally, you could try running the ASP examples with the other user account.
