Hi,
we use ActiveX 8 Pro in our web site

the spec. of the client pc is:
RAM: 1G
CPU: sempron amd 2100+
HD: 8G flash disk
(Actualy, the client pc is a "thin client" computer, its function only for browsing web page)

we encounter a serious problem: if the client use ie7 to brows the web page containing TeeChart component for a long time,
the memory usage will increase gradually and the ie will crash finally

my question is if the hotfix of v8 Pro. solves the memory leaking in v6 or v7 ?
or do you have any suggestion for this problem ?

thanks for any help

Hi DSC,

Are you using latest TeeChart Pro v8 ActiveX release available at the client area, which is v8.0.08? If the problem persists can you please attach a simple example project we can run "as-is" to reproduce the problem here?

Thanks in advance.

Hi NarcĂs,
Thanks for your reply.
The version of TeeChart ActiveX which installs in the client is 8.0.0.5 MultiLangUnicode.
We have downloaded the latest version 8.0.0.8 but is not installed yet.
Because the v 8.0.0.5 has the problem I mentioned before, we just wanna know if the latest version solves this problem or not...
By the way, since the problem only occurs in our "thin client" machine but almost never occurs in normal PC or NB (besides opening dozens of windows at the same time), we believe the fewer memory size is the main reason.

In addition, We heared the v7 or v6 seems to have the memory leaking situation, so we are afraid that v8 has this issue also, doesn't it ?

Hi DSC,

Please notice some memory leak issues have been fixed since v8.0.0.5 as you can see in the release notes. Can you please check if this works fine at your end? If the problem persists please attach a simple example application we can run "as-is" to reproduce the problem here.

Thanks in advance.
