This is possibly a simple Windows 7 (64 bit) issue, but trying to install on Windows 7 64-bit, I keep getting the attached error message. I've even tried creating the directory giving the error manually, to no avail. Any ideas?

Hi JohnHorb,

Have you registered TeeChart6.ocx manually using regsvr32.exe?

Thanks in advance.

I've not tried manually registering the OCX. Once I get the above message, I am asked if I want to roll-back the installation, and have been replying 'Yes', to keep a 'clean' system. If there is no solution for the problem, which seems to be related to the install trying to set up the demo web site, are you able to confirm how much of the installation has completed, i.e. if I choose not to roll-back, can I just manually register the OCX and all will be OK apart from no demo web site?

(My nice shiny new Windows 7 system is currently away for repair, so it will be a week or so before I can try anything).

Hi JohnHorb,

I've installed the TeeChart ActiveX 6.0.0.6 in a Win7 x64 machine and found no errors. Are you running the installer with administrative rights?

Yes, running with Admin rights. Have you tried with a machine with IIS enabled? It does seem to be copying things to a web site which is causing the problem. Unfortunatly my Win 7 PC is away for repair, but I'll try a few more things when I get it back - hopefully end of next week or early the next. I am finding that Win 7 does some 'strange' things with permissions, so I'll check the 'advanced' security settings on the wwwroot directory.

Hi John,

Yes, I installed TeeChart AX 6.0.0.6 in a Win7 x64 machine without IIS. But now I've uninstalled TeeChart, installed IIS, ASP compatibility and IIS6 support, and installed TeeChart AX 6.0.0.6 without errors again.
The only problem I've found has been with the ASP demo, that the physical directory wasn't correctly referenced but after correcting it, it also worked fine.
