Datetimes and ColorGrid generate unexistent colored values

Post by Lauri Kari » Fri Jul 30, 2004 12:46 pm

Hi !

Is there a way to avoid a ColorGrid surface to generate nonexistent values in the case there is caps in datetimes otherwise continuously distributed ?

It seems that the TChart-component generates colored points distributed equally over the caps and does not show the values as missing.

With best regards
Lauri Kari

Hi Lauri,

I've posted one example into the steema.public.attachments newsgroup which shows how to do this.

The example of a hole in the surface

I've read the example and I found it impossible to use the TChart this way.

Because of the large number of points an array is generated and given to be automatically colored by the TChart.

Is there a way to show a hole using AddArrayXYZ ?

There's no other way that I know of.
