Did anybody find an equivalent to the RecalcMinMax function?

I am having a problem building a debug version for BCB6: ok, I read that the "debug" option in the compile tool does not work for BCB6 -> I manually switched all packages to debug but the recompile tool seems to delete the tds files?!?
