Hello, "Ungroup" is what you can do in MS-Word (or PowerPoint or any Office app), after pasting. For a metafile, like EMF/WMF, the pasted chart is then split up in its component part: labels, axes, data trace, etc and you can edit stuff: change position, font, colour, etc - pretty useful for the end...

OK, I changed (using RegEdit), HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CodeGear\BDS\6.0\RootDir to another (but existing) directory and then the installer started.

I still don't understand what the installer sees as a running bds.exe but at least it now works

How are you checking for bds.exe? Using Process32First/Process32Next? Or some other way? If I knew that I could probably find out why your installer think I have bds.exe running.
